Starting out in ESO 1st

Welcome to 2012/13 course. This year, we are going to work not only in ESO 2nd course, but also in first and third courses.

Our first bilingual activities with ESO first course are going to be some funny games in order to encourage them to study a bilingual subject, that can be not only a difficult task, but also an interesting activity.

First of all, with the help of our language assistant, Becky O'Neill, we are going to emulate the world famous quiz "Who wants to be a millionaire?" with a mathematical version: Who wants to be a mathionaire?.

Later we can test the calculations abilities of our students with another game: Speed Math.

Welcome to our blog

Here you will find some of the activities we will make in our bilingual mathematics class. This year, we will work in ESO 2nd level and we will work in two directions:
  1. We will make activities related with the units we are working in class (Divisibility, Integer Numbers, Sexagesimal System, Fractions, Proporcionality, Algebra, Equations, Geometry, etc)
  2. We will also work in some e-twinning projects (Too many things to measure, Around the circle and the wheel, etc).
We hope you will find useful this information. And for anything you like, don't hesitate and send us a comment. See you soon!
